It had been an astronomical amount of time since Ana was first placed behind bars at Sang Froid. It had been so long since she had been beyond the outside walls; and for the first time since her entry to the prison, she would be able to breathe outside air once again. Anyone who had ever been cooped up in Sang Froid would know that being there was no cake-walk; it had been pure hell from day one. Dealing with all of these idiots who had committed crimes for the stupidest reasons; money, sex, drugs-- all of the fun stuff, right? Ana's favorite women prisoners to talk to were those who murdered their husbands due to infidelity. It intrigued her, she saw it as a justified reason after hearing what they had to say. Ana had never been good with trust among people, especially after the Naval incident with Dresdin and Maddox. To shove so much trust into one person, only to have it ripped apart, was what infidelity had appeared to be in the eyes of all of the murderesses; and Ana understood. Some of the women she had met had death sentences, or were to stay put in Sang Froid for the rest of their lives. She was lucky, Anastasia, to be let out finally. How many years had it been...? She had practically lost count, it had been so long. She would have the freedom to smoke cigarettes again, wear her own clothes, and hit on people who were actually attractive. It was hard to find good eye-candy in prison; Sang Froid held some ugly people behind its walls. What made it even better was the fact that within a few hours, she'd get to view her dumb brother's smug face. Though they quarreled, as most siblings do, Ana held a strong amount of excitement. It had been hard to find people with similar personalities and good practice in Spanish. Most of the women she had become well acquainted with spoke just English and her the personalities of toothpicks. It would be interesting to find out how life has been for her family members, particularly Ed; who he was dating, where he was living, what his occupation was...that sort of stuff. Anastasia was dreading seeing their mother, however. In the multitude of years she had been behind bars, she had replied to a total of four letters her mother had sent her. And that would drive momma up a wall; Ana knew what was to come. Petty things like letter-writing had held little interest to her; she had spent a large portion of her time in this hell-hole plotting against Dresdin and Maddox. Millions of strategies were scripted out in her mind, along with ideas for new weaponry, and new design ideas for the suits she fancied so much. She would have to visit the designer and tailor that her and Ed had shared before she was locked away-- something small in life that held importance to her.
She remained stationed on the crappy cot in her cell, staring thoughtfully at the gray bricks that made up the walls that held her. She was dreaming heavily of a good smoke, and a nice bottle of vodka. She was tired of this shitty orange jumpsuit, these uncomfortable jail-made underwear. The ugly shoes. The boring cell decor. The annoying prisoners. The stupid guards and their abuse of authority. It was time to go; time to be away from them all. Her mind was lost in a whirlwind of thought until she heard footsteps, which paused in front of her cell's bars. Her single blue eye, that wasn't covered by her dark bangs, moved quickly in the direction of the paused figure. One of the guards, a smug look on his face, was standing still and looking her up and down. "Anastasia Gonzales; you're a free woman." he said, his face and voice were anything but excited. Tch. The guards were such assholes in this joint. Ana stood and walked over to the bars, which the man unlocked and slid open. Ana stepped out and sighed, following him down a few flights of stairs into a small room in which her belongings had been locked up for so long. When the material of her suit touched against her skin, she felt 100% better in an instant. A smile even crossed her lips. The only possession they hadn't given back were her smokes, which they stated were thrown out. She shrugged; Ed would have some to steal, most likely. The twins had shared in many bad habits-- smoking being the biggest. She slid her black, heeled boots on. Much better; those prison shoes sucked ass. She was set and ready to leave this place. The guards directed her, handing her a duffelbag with some of her extra belongings in it. She slung it over her shoulder and exited the prison for the first time in many, many years. Surprisingly, it was a nice day outside. Not too hot. Not too cold; clouds were out and the sun felt...nice. Her eye probed the surroundings as she walked forward and out, making her way into the parking lot. Relief swam over her when she spotted her brother, Eduardo, looking chic in a finely tailored suit and smoking a cigarette. She felt at home already.

Eduardo had a good feeling about today, and he never had a good feeling about much of anything. He could honestly say that there was a slight chance that today would be one of those fabled 'good days' that people occasionally talked about, where everything went his way or where the Latin golem just didn't find everything inexplicably annoying. He admitted the last part was a bit far-fetched, given his ridiculously short fuse and his tolerance for about anything that he didn't like. And from what you could probably guess, he didn't really like much. Off of the top of his head, Eduardo could maybe think of five things he actually liked. One, was himself, obviously. Secondly, was the cigarettes he smoked constantly; the third being his family. And much like item number four, his lover Vasir, or crazy boytoy as he preferred to call him, it was something Ed liked to pretend he didn't like. He wasn't into the while touchy-feely bullshit, which explained his intense dislike of many things, including sharing feelings or happiness with just about anybody. Family and insane demigods alike.
But even he had to admit, though it stung, that he had missed his twin sister. Even the most douchey of siblings loved each other deep down somewhere, and the Latin golem was no exception. Family had always been a weak point for him, whether he liked to admit it or not. If he were to ever lose Anastasia, it would be surprisingly devastating. It would be like losing a half of him, since the twins obviously many characteristics; including their classic sense of fashion and attitude. Coming from a house that was small and a family that had over 12 people, most of them being older, the two siblings clung to each other and were closer than they were then with any of their other siblings. Eduardo also had a special bond with his recently deceased younger brother, Alejandro, but the thing he had with Ana was different. It was like seeing yourself, except your other self had boobs and called you a pervertido for staring too long. Also, she had always been louder and shorter than he was.
So being as close as the two were, it wouldn't surprise you that despite Ed's level of supreme jackassary, that he went to visit Ana every once and awhile. Few times a month at best, as Eduardo didn't like to leave Vasir home for too long and like hell he was going to bring the crazy jackass to a goddamn fucking prison. He also wrote her quite often, as she apparently got incredibly bored sitting in a cell for 23 hours out of the day. Go figure. The Latin wasn't exactly sure why it had been necessary to treat his twin like a homicidal prisoner for as long as they had, being she wasn't even entirely guilty for the crime she had been tried for. He'd been told time and time again that it was merely 'protocol' for murderers, which Ed found to be complete bullshit. Which it was, because Ana wasn't a murderer. A killer? Definitely. But a murderer seemed a bit too extreme for her. But to be quite honest, the Latin was thoroughly surprised that the Navy had found out about the other crimes that they had committed together as kids and just smacked that onto her sentence. At least then that would make her 700 year sentence just. A small smirk formed on the golem's face, thinking back on those insane times when they had been kids. By their teens, they had been pulling heists and armed bank robberies galore. A part of Ed missed that.
Damn, his fucking position with the gods ruined everything. They were still watching him like a hawk, just waiting until he slipped up enough where they could just throw his stony ass in a shallow pond and watch him drown. All they had to do was get the word from Vasir or even worse, Vasir's father and he'd be fucking screwed.. Which basically meant he couldn't do any of the fun shit he and Ana used to do, even back to as recent when she had been a Navy captain. When he would occasionally come to visit her at her office, she used to let him bully the hell out of the new recruits. And that part alone had almost made the Latin golem consider signing up. Almost. There was just something about the Navy that Eduardo did not trust at all. They whistled to their own tune and drowned out everybody else's, if you caught his drift.
But it was because of his close bond with his twin sister that brought Eduardo here today. Ana was finally being released from prison, after all of these years. It would be the first time he had seen her in ages, unfortunately. Though up until had been assigned to Vasir, he had tried to come up and see his slightly younger sister a few times a month. But as mentioned before, with Vasir, it made it pretty much impossible. Not to mention that Ed himself wasn't exactly on.. Good standings with the Navy at the moment, all thanks to that asshole he was supposed to be babysitting/kind of in love with. After he had some street kid tell the fuzz that he was a goddamn child molester, they had tried to arrest him. And to say the least, several of those officer's faces would never be the same and Eduardo had made his way onto their list of 'suspicious characters'. So obviously, Ed liked to keep his distance from their giant prison, Sang Froid. The Latin lit up a fresh cigarette, taking a brief drag from it as the gates to the prison opened up. Out stepped his sister, Ana, with a bag slung over one shoulder and a face with mixed emotions. She looked both happy to be out and pissed off that she had to wait so goddamn long.
Eduardo could only smile slightly. "Oy? What happened to my hermana? I remember her being prettier the last time I saw her." he commented as he briefly hugged the slightly younger and shorter woman. "Finally free, eh Ana?" he smirked, handing her the pack of cigarettes. She looked like she could use a pack or seven.

Ana grumbled, lightly punching her twin brother on his left shoulder. "And I remember you being a lot taller." She smirked at him. Even though Ana was only older than him by about 10 seconds, she was still about four inches taller than her male twin. Eduardo hated her for it; and all their mother did was complain that he must have gotten her poor "shortness" genes. She rolled up her suit sleeves a bit and took Ed's cig from between his fingers, taking a drag from it. "Gods, I've missed these. Damn guards kept swipin' mine." she murmured with a roll of her eyes. Prison had done nothing for Anastasia but make her more bitter and cranky. And the only thing she ever got away with when there were no guards around was sexual harassing whatever cell mate she had. Needless to say, half made complaints that got them, or Ana, moved. But the other half of the time, Ana happily got laid (which kept her calm on some days). Cigarettes, however, were a different story. Those guards could smell a smoke a million miles away. Especially the guards that were Jasts or Weres. They were dumb enough to keep her separate from her boxes of smokes, so they had to deal with an incredibly moody Golem for most of the years she was locked away. Half of the guards had died before she had gotten out as well, seeing that she was in there for so long. Some new recruits had even quit just because they had been given "Anastasia duty", as the whole team of guards called it. Which consisted of about 4 or more guards standing watch to make sure she didn't try anything stupid. Two were equipped with large buckets of water while the others had those shitty-made water balloon sling shots. Ana didn't want to admit it had been a good idea- but Golems and water never mix.
She handed the cig back to her brother and stretched a little, stuffing her hands in her pant pockets. "So lemme guess. We're stopping at mom's before I actually get t'go home?" Her accent was still just as thick as when she had entered the prison- still traces of the ghetto rolled off her tongue, And even though Anastasia hated the idea of stopping at her damned mother's house, she knew if they didn't World War III would wage when they stopped by for the upcoming family Christmas party. Ana took the pack of cigarettes graciously handed to her from her brother and took one out. At least she didn't have to steal off of his again. She lit it and slid it between her lips, puffing happily. "How long was I in there? I can hardly remember." she laughed lightly. It was mostly true. They had her ass locked away so long she barely knew just how long she really had been behind those rusting bars. Dresdin's ass was in for it once she got out and got settled in her place...if her place was even still where it had been before, that is. The outside world hardly looked the same to her anymore. And the sun sucked just as much as it had before- too bright, too hot. She leaned against Ed's crappy car and took another drag as she stared back at the giant brick and steel structure that was Sang Froid. It was oddly like leaving another home, finally being adjusted to new routines and new people. She can't say she made any friends, per say. Mostly just fuck-buddies. But she would miss the numbers of women who were actually not too bad looking who would surely miss Ana's skills in the prison bunk. She snorted quietly to herself. Maybe now that she was out of that rat hole, she could find a stable job- and girlfriend. Ana was good at getting others into bed. But not so much when it came to keeping them around; seeing that her attitude...sucked. She shook her head and pulled open the rusting passenger's side door of her twin brother's car, climbing inside. "Let's just get outta here before I puke." she grumbled as she finished off her smoke and flung the remains out the window.
