It had taken a whole week for Grace to return from Demimonde, where she had been held captured by no one but Tyrin Schiller, the man whom she thought had murdered her parents. It wasn’t one of the best expeditions of her life, that was for sure but she had grown to know Leon better and see that he wasn’t all that bad after all. Grace had in fact, come back from her trip the day before, but being so tired to have flown for such a long distance, she took the next day off to sleep. Either way, she didn’t think they would notice if she was gone for one more day. She had come back with a lost hunt, but she had gain a trust into Leon that wasn’t going to be replaceable. She smiled and blushed at the thought as she was walking back to the navy base where she would go and have a chat with Kaylee for she was almost certain that her Captain would be found there.
She wondered about if she had noticed about her disappearing so suddenly and for quite some days. Either ways, she thought she would actually find out once she would meet up with her and her navy comrades which she thought were always so pleasant to talk to except maybe for that Zoe Bones, one of the admirals she didn’t root for at all. The one who had initiated the hunt to the powers of the Gods. She didn’t agree with the woman’s thoughts, but she never dared to speak up her mind. She looked scary and when she was mad, she always had a rage that would make any strongest men fear and bow down. She wondered about if Zoe had always been like that before, but soon enough she decided to shake her head and to simply make her way to work.
She was wearing her uniform and her sword proudly, all washed and clean, having her hair pulled up into her usual pony tail. She was ready for a new day of work and she was wondering about if anyone had noticed her absence. She soon arrived to the base and nodded at a few men as she walked by. “Hey Grace, long time no see, did you take a few vacations finally?” asked one of the men she was used to talk to. They all knew how she loved her job and how much of a workaholic she could be. It was probably also why she got along so well with Captain St. Clair.
She shook her head. “Nah, I’ve had to deal with some criminals.” Which was true but she didn’t tell them all the details, they nodded letting her go. She started walking again, raising her hand to wave at them but soon she stopped remembering she wanted to see Kaylee she turned her attention back to them. “Do you know where Kaylee is?” One of them shrugged. “She’s in there, somewhere.” Grace nodded- at least she was at the base. “’Kay, thanks!” she replied before continuing her way.
Everything seemed so calm and unmoved, just like how she left. She decided to go take a look at Kaylee’s office. Once she arrived, she knocked on the door three times. “Hey Kaylee, sorry for my absence, are you in there?” she asked. $$ added

There where papers scatter on the the desk that sat there in front of her. Yes Kaylee had paper work to do which was one of the parts of the job she did not like all that much. Yet it had to be done and it was her job as a captain of one of many ships own by the navy to do. Most of it was just unimportant stuff like order forms for supplies that the ship need or about someone new that would join the ship. Putting down a few paper she had enough starting at them and got up from the chair she was sitting in and moved away from the desk to the large window and looked out. Kaylee would not have like to be doing paper no she would have like to be looking for Grace the first mate of her ship who had been missing for some time. Yet she knew the navy was dragging there asses in looking for her. Since they figured that Grace had just changed sides going to work some pirates or something. Though Kaylee knew that was not true at she knew that Grace had well proud love for the work she did for the navy. There was no way she betray the navy like some had and become a pirate or something like that. No Kaylee knew that something had happen to her and she just hopped it was nothing bad that she was not hurt some where or worse dead.
Kaylee had come to well trust Grace and fell like she was a friend and so she had been missing her. There were not many in the navy Kaylee was sure that could be trusted since there whisper in the navy that some wanted to take the power of the gods and use them to wipe out all pirates. She was not sure that was the right way to do things as much she did not like pirates for what they had done to hurt her and her sister Isolde by killing there parents. If they wiped them all out that would make them no better than pirates and she though that as part of being in the navy you had a sense to up hold justice and the make the pirates pay for there crimes by put them away in jail no by just sensually wiping them out. Well she knew where she stood she was just not sure where others in the navy stood on this issue and so she knew she need to keep her ears open to know what was going. Then Kaylee was snapped out of her thoughts when she herd a knock on her office door.
“Hey Kaylee, sorry for my absence, are you in there?” she herd the familiar voice ask. She knew that voice it was Grace and she walked away from the window and open the door to her office. And there she was standing in front of her Grace and well she looked alright. Kaylee smiled a bit felling well relived that Grace looked alright and that she was back. Though now she just wounder where she had been this whole time. "Grace I am glade you back and that your alright I was worried about you." Kaylee said to her. It was true she had been worried Grace was more than just a friend to her she was like another sister to Kaylee. Yes Kaylee knew she would do anything to protect Grace even if there time when grace did not need protecting no Kaylee knew she could take care of herself quite. Now she just wanted to know where she had been this whole time. "Where have you been?" she asked Grace. Yes Kaylee wanted to know this information and she was not sure what to expect when Grace did answer. Had she been held captive by someone then escaped she just did not know what to expect to hear from her., All she knew was she was glade that Grace was back and did not look like she had been hurt in any way.

Grace waited patiently for Kaylee to tell her that she could actually get into the office before walking in. She smiled once she gave her the permission to do so and opened the door discretely as if she didn’t want to make too much noise. In fact, she didn’t even know about what was Kaylee doing and if she was busy with paper work where you need concentration, she wouldn’t want to be the source of Kaylee’s distraction. Not when she was doing something important anyways. However, she did wish that her friend and Captain was free for she would like to have a discussion with her. They needed to talk, and obviously, she would want to know why she was gone for so long. She wondered about if she should be telling her the truth or not, but she guessed that she would see how things will go with their little chat.
Grace grinned at Kaylee as her captain told her that she had been worried for her. She was surprised; sure, she knew that Kaylee could have emotions but it was rare she heard the woman speak them up. She reminded her of Zachariah, a navy admiral whom pretty much looked quite a lot like her. “Hey, you know I’m tough.” she replied standing proudly in front of her Captain as she stated that she had been worried. It was true after all-she had not let any person from Tyrin’s crew touching her, neither did she get beaten by the Captain. He was actually better than a few people from the navy. It was rare, but she grew more confused and had a certain reluctant respect for him, even if she thought he was the one who killed her parents.
She then paused after Kaylee questioned her about where she had been the entire days. She tried to think of a good way to put her words out. Maybe she could tell some to Kaylee, it wasn’t as if she was one for gossips and she knew that she could trust her Captain to trust her secrets. “Well, it’s somewhat of a long but short story.” she began before gesturing her head in the direction to Kaylee’s office. “You might want to sit?” She questioned unsure about if Kaylee preferred to sit down and talk or to remain up. Either ways, she didn’t mind. She just wanted to continue her job exactly how it was before, without having to worry about pirates anymore, continue to hunt some criminals and what not.
“You remembered when we heard about Tyrin Schiller being at Billet Doux? Well, it was true, so I went to inspect his ship-he was well hidden, I had a few men with me, don’t worry!!” She added quickly hoping that Kaylee wouldn’t think of her as being stupid for going there by herself. She hoped that Kaylee knew she could handle herself quite well anyways! Words: 488

“Hey, you know I’m tough.” Kaylee herd grace say to her and she smiled a bit. Moving Out of the door way to let Grace enter the office. Yes well Kaylee was still glade that Grace seemed to be alright and nothing to bad had happen to her.“Well, it’s somewhat of a long but short story.” Grace said to her. Still she wanted to hear about since well the navy seemed to not have done a good job looking for Grace. No she would be sure to bring that up with some of the higher ups in the navy. Though that was how the navy run they would always seem to take there time when it came to getting things done. You would have thought they would do more to find one of there own when they went missing for a long period of time. Yet most of the time the navy believed that that person had just quit of become a pirate. Kaylee knew though that had not been the case with Grace. No she knew that there was some sort of story behind why she had been gone for so long. So she wanted to hear all about fro her to understand why she had been gone for so long. “You might want to sit?” she herd Grace say and well Kaylee deiced to remain standing she had been sitting doing paper work.
“You remembered when we heard about Tyrin Schiller being at Billet Doux? Well, it was true, so I went to inspect his ship-he was well hidden, I had a few men with me, don’t worry!!” she herd Grace say quickly to her. Now something int hat just seemed off she knew that Grace though Tyrin Schiller had killed her parents, but something felt off. Just something in her body language was telling Kaylee there was more to her story. Yes you need to be able to read body language when you were interrogating pirates and criminals to know when they were lying or telling the truth. Something was just telling Kaylee that grace was not telling her the whole story about what had happen. She wanted to know everything since since had been gone quite longer than it would have taken to sneak on a pirate ship to try to capture a pirate and if there really had been others with she would have herd about it. Yes Kaylee wanted to know the whole story and the truth not just a shorten down version of it.
"Grace I fell your not telling me the whole truth of what really happen and I don't care about if your lying a bit to me." Kaylee said to her. No she did not care she wanted to know the whole story about what happen and how she was able to get back. "So tell me the truth and I promise I went tell it to anyone else it will just stay between us." she said to her. Kaylee was not one to break her promises no she would not tell anyone else not even the higher ups. She would just tell that Grace had return safe and sound. Also though she would be sure to give them a piece of her mind about how well unsuccessful there search for Grace had been. Kaylee could believe with all the resource the navy had they could not find Grace. It was like they had not been even trying Kaylee knew if they had allowed her to search for Grace like she had wanted to she could have found her faster than they could. Yet they had not allowed her since they said it was against regulations to let her do so. Well next something like this happen she would not care about regulations and look for Grace herself. So now she stood there waiting for Grace to answer her and tell her the whole story since she wanted to know what really happen.

Grace blinked as Kaylee told her she wasn’t saying the whole truth. She laughed lightly-she wasn’t evne done with her story yet. “I did say it’s a rather long but short story, though It’s not done yet.” Grace pointed out with a light voice tone. It was funny how sometimes people could jump on conclusions. Then again, her captain had the right to worry about her and to know the truth. She knew that she could actually trust her and that she would never tell anything to anyone else. It’s not as if it was a big deal...if you forgot about the fact that she actually grew to have some feelings for a pirate. It was still conflicting to her, even if he kissed her, and even if she had let him to do so. Part of herself was telling her that she wanted to be with him and that it was alright, while her good conscience was telling her that it was wrong and that she should stay away from a pirate, all of this was just so confusing!
She chuckled once again before looking up at Grace. “Unfortunately, he found out and knocked me off, urgh! They’re wiser than they appear to be.” she commented rolling her eyes as she remembered how easily he had seemed to throw her off. At least, the only bad thing he did to her was to lock her up in that damned dusty and disgusting room. Other than that, she had been fine, if it wasn’t her for being mad at Leon for not telling her that he was a pirate and what not. Anyways, it wasn’t the time to think about something so futile, for now. She needed to explain to Kaylee her situation. “So I ended up being captured by them, but don’t worry, they didn’t do much to me, they only wanted to know how I got onto the ship. I admit I’m still proud to have been able to do so while he is the most wanted. He isn’t as bad as he seems to be though.” she stated. When she was off on a subject, it was hard to stop Grace from talking. She, after all, no matter how much of a tomboy she could be, was still a female and everyone knew that it was easier for them to speak up more than the opposite gender. Though, Kaylee was an exception.
“Anyways, I found out that one person, Leon, I knew that his name had rang a bell in my brain, I’ve seen him in the wanted posters before.” she explained. “Though, I talked to him here and there and he’s really nice...are all pirates bad?” She asked with a frown. “I don’t think that looking for the power of the Gods to get rid of them is the best solution.” she thought aloud. “Anyways, he helped me out, which was very nice of him, but I promised not to tell where they are and I won’t.” she finished telling most of the parts, she didn’t think Kaylee would want to hear of romance anyways.

“I did say it’s a rather long but short story, though It’s not done yet.” Kaylee herd Grace say to her. Well it seemed she was going to tell her more to the story than she thought. So well at least she would hear the whole thing yet she would still listen to see if there was something she left out of the story. “Unfortunately, he found out and knocked me off, urgh! They’re wiser than they appear to be.” she told her. And well Kaylee figured something like that had happen that Grace had been found. Yes that would explain what took her so long to return back to the base. “So I ended up being captured by them, but don’t worry, they didn’t do much to me, they only wanted to know how I got onto the ship. I admit I’m still proud to have been able to do so while he is the most wanted. He isn’t as bad as he seems to be though.” Grace said to her. Well at least nothing bad had happen more than he being held captive by pirates for a period of time though like Grace had said they had done nothing to hurt her. Which Kaylee was glade for and well it was strange since most pirates would have done something more to hurt her. Yes did what she say was true that pirates might not have been as bad as Kaylee thought.
Yes well Kaylee knew that you should never judge some just on there actions. It was hard in the world to just live by having an honest job sometimes even good people could turn to crime to survive in life. So she knew that the navy's plan to use the power of the gods to get rid of pirates was not the best idea. No since well maybe it would not work to wipe out all pirates since maybe it would just wipe out everything. No one knew for sure what would happen if that power was used. “Anyways, I found out that one person, Leon, I knew that his name had rang a bell in my brain, I’ve seen him in the wanted posters before.” Grace said. Kaylee knew who she was specking of though it seemed Grace had more to say. “Though, I talked to him here and there and he’s really nice...are all pirates bad?” Grace added and well they why she said it sound as if something had happen between her and Leon. Something that Grace had never expected to happen. “I don’t think that looking for the power of the Gods to get rid of them is the best solution.” yes Kaylee had to agree there with her on that.
“Anyways, he helped me out, which was very nice of him, but I promised not to tell where they are and I won’t.” she told Kaylee. Well Kaylee was not even going to ask where they had been at. Though now she understood how Grace had return this Leon had help her escape which was an odd thing. Someone would only risk themselves by doing something like that for someone they cared about. Did this pirate have felling for Grace and did she have felling for him. Kaylee was a bit curious about that since well she knew people could find love in unexpected place sometimes. "Well it seems this Leon did something that would get him in trouble by helping you." Kaylee said to Grace. Well still it was good to have Grace back and she still wanted to know if something had happen between Grace and Leon. "I know its not my business and I won't judge you just well did something happen between you and him?" she asked Grace. Yes she wanted to know if something had she would not judge Grace in any way about since as much she hid her fellings about love deep inside she well want fell that way about someone. Everyone did want to have someone that made they fell happy when they were with them and that cared about them. So now she quiet waiting for Grace to answer her and to see how she would answer the question.

Grace didn’t know where to go with all of what had happened lately, especially with Leon. She knew that she should be the one telling to the navy where they were, but she wouldn’t, for his sake. For the fact that he had actually helped her way out of the ship while he knew that he could be in trouble for doing something like that. It was still strange for her to talk to Kaylee about that kind of stuff, even if she knew that she could count on the navy woman, she always was awkward sharing personal thoughts and feelings. She liked to move on with life, but now, something had come across her original plans and were confusing her to the most. What was she supposed to do now? She wanted to see Leon again, but a part of her was still debating with her, telling her that it still wasn’t right. Maybe all pirates weren’t as bad as people claimed they were. Not all of them were sadistic characters, people who killed hundreds of other people. She sighed rubbing her temples and nodded at Kaylee’s words, once she stated that Leon had done something that could get him in trouble by helping her.
She didn’t deny the fact, but she was still uncomfortable by talking to Kaylee about this, even if she knew she could trust her friend. When Kaylee questioned her about if something had happened between her and Leon, she wanted to keep that to herself, but in a way, Kaylee was in right to know. She just didn’t want her to rant at her for having some sort of odd feelings for a pirate while she was supposed to be hunting them. Oh and she knew she was supposed to be doing so! She was still having a conscience war about it and it didn’t seem to work out right. She sighed, nodding slightly her head once before looking up at her captain.
“Yeah, he kissed me but I don’t want you to tell that to anyone there! Some people might as well want me to get arrested for doing something like that ugh.” she added quickly, being on the defensive about it. Who could blame her? She was working for the good ones and was falling for someone who was being on the bad side. No matter how much she was telling herself that it wasn’t the right thing to do, her heart was telling her that it was, indeed, the thing she should be doing. Why was this always so confusing? She thought she was better being single, doing her job and not bothering herself with these feelings that were getting in the way of her rational thoughts. She hoped that Kaylee would respect her wishes and she was probably one of the few women who could be doing such an exploit because she knew how many would actually love some good gossips to spread around.

Kaylee wanted to know if well there was something between Grace and this pirate who had helped her. Since it still seemed strange that pirate would help someone who was in the navy escape being help prisoner. Yet maybe it was just in her head something happen other than this pirate not being as bad other pirate. Since Kaylee knew that not all pirates were out there cause a lot of trouble for the navy some were just into pirating for the stealing and earning of wealth. Still even with out committing some bad crimes all pirates were consider evil by most. Kaylee knew the kind of things some pirates could do since they were responsible for the death of her parents. That was the whole reason for her join the navy to make sure others did not have to suffer the same thing she did losing people they cared about. Still even with that she did not think some of the ideas the navy had pirates were all true and she did not think that pirates should be looked on as the only ones causing problems in the world since some int he navy were not as good as they seemed she knew there were those in the navy abusing there power for there own gain.
“Yeah, he kissed me but I don’t want you to tell that to anyone there! Some people might as well want me to get arrested for doing something like that ugh.” she herd grace say to her in answer to her question. Now that surprised her a pirate kissed Grace now Kaylee felt her suspension had been right this pirate Leon well had felling for Grace. Kaylee just wonder how Grace felt about did she have fellings for him to and of course she would not judge if she did. No she would fell a bit jealous since well love was not a bad thing to have everyone wanted someone they could love and share there life with right. Romance well was something that did make Kaylee a bit uncomfortable since well she really had never had those felling about someone before and she well did not have the greatest self confidence when it came to herself about someone liking her that way. She was not sure any guy would wanted to be with her since she did not act girly at all she well mostly never wore dress and she well was working a job that most women would not choice being in the navy. Sure there were other females in the navy and few with high ranks than her, but most of the people int he navy were males.
Well now Kaylee need to worry about this stuff she was still curious about how Grace felt about Leon. Yes did she like him in the same way that he obviously like Grace. And if Grace did fell that way about him she would not tell anyone in the navy not hat would just stay between them since she did want Grace to be happy. "Well I won't tell any about him kissing you since well that is no one else business." Kaylee said to her. Yes Kaylee was not one gossip like other people would with information like this it just stay between them. "Though I do have one question to like him in the same way he obviously likes you in and if you do I won't tell anyone else it will stay between us." she said to Grace. Yes she just wanted to know how Grace felt about Leon and if she did like him then Kaylee might just tell her maybe she should tell him that. Since she was sure where ever this Leon way he would be thinking about Grace. So now Kaylee stood quite waiting for Grace to answer of course Grace free to not answer her.

Everything was just so confusing to Grace starting from Leon being a pirate. How could people say that pirates were all the same? Leon proved her otherwise, that he was nice and that she could actually count on him. Though, he was still a criminal and she was very confused about the way she felt about him, or piracy in general. What was piracy exactly? Was it something only made of crimes or was it something deeper than that? She needed time to think before even making up her mind and she knew that it was probably cruel to have people to wait after such a decision but it was hers and no one else’s business and she would do whatever she thought would be right. Who cared about the navy’s thoughts anyways? She knew that she could trust Kaylee about not saying a word to their co-workers. Especially not people like Admiral Bones. That woman frightened her and she was glad she wasn’t working under her commands. She never agreed to steal away the power of the Gods.
She nodded at Kaylee when she assured her that she wouldn’t say anything to anyone else. Good; she knew that she could count on her captain and she was happy about it. Not all first mates had a privileged relationship with their captains. They trust each other and they were even friends. She knew that she would never turn her down.
She paused however, when Kaylee questioned her about her feelings. She had no ideas and being very confused at the moment, she preferred not to say anything until she made up her mind. Of course, she knew about Leon’s feelings now but she wanted to make sure hers were honest ones as well. She would feel horrible for Leon if she wouldn’t even know what she wanted to do and even more horrible if she ever wanted to date him while her feelings were untrue. It would only be fair for everyone to wait and make the right decision before jumping into something uncertain. “I don’t know Kaylee, all of this is very confusing you know.” She admitted with a slight frown. “I need time to think about it.” She said. It was the truth after all and she didn’t want to lie to one of her closest friend even if it must be awkward for Kaylee to hear such a story coming from her. Oh well; it only proved they could count on each other no matter what.

Kaylee was quiet while she wait for Grace to answer her question. She knew that this whole situation that had happen with Leon well had to be confusing to her. Yes it must have made here question her felling about pirates and that well were they all bad. Kaylee had wonder that herself since well yes she that well not all of them could be that bad of people. That some had become pirates out of a need to survive in this world since it was hard out there to make an honest living. And she knew that the navy was not prefect since she there were some in the navy that were no better than pirates. Some that even did things that were worse than something that some pirates had done. So Kaylee could under stand that confusion going on in Grace mind about how she felt Leon. Still though to her did seem a bit well cruel to make him wait to know what her felling about him. She was sure this Leon was well felling on edge wondering if he would see Grace again and find out how she felt about. Since well Kaylee knew that was how she would fell if she was in the same situation since well love could be a very confusing thing for anyone since you had to be sure how you felt about about someone for giving them an answer.
“I don’t know Kaylee, all of this is very confusing you know.” she herd Grace say to her. And well some how she knew that was how Grace was felling about things. Still though she knew that well the longer she wait to figure it the more it would make Leon fell like he make a mistake in kissing Grace. “I need time to think about it.” Grace added and well that was understandable. Still though the long Grace took the more it would well most likely make Leon fell like such an idiot for having kissed her. Kaylee was not sure how she would react if she had been in this situation like Grace. Even though well having someone that cared about her so much was something that she wished she could have it just did not seem like it was going to happen for her any time soon. No it seemed that she would just never find romance like Grace seemed to have found. Even if it had come from someone so unlikely like Leon. Yes to her no matter where the love came from it did not matter if he was a pirate.
If his felling for Grace made him maybe rethink his life and want to get out of being pirate then maybe it was not strange for her to fall in love with him. "Grace I can understand that it is confusing for you and that you need time to think about how you fell about him." Kaylee said to Grace. "Yet well if wait to long you might end up hurting him more since I am sure like you he felling confused and the longer make him wait more he will fell he might of done something stupid." she said. Kaylee was not trying to make Grace fell bad about needing time she just well wanted to give her opinion on well how she felt about this. She just hopped that Grace would not fell worse hearing what she felt she just well wanted Grace to happy since she knew that Grace was well with out any family and that felling lonely was not a great felling to have. So if Grace had a chance to be happy she should take it since everyone deserved happiness in there. "I hope I didn't make you fell about about need time just if have fellings for him no matter what he had done in his past you should well give go after those felling if they make you happy."Kaylee said. Now she went quiet wondering how Grace would fell after what she had just herd her say to her.

Grace wasn’t sure about how to respond to Kaylee as she told her opinion about her situation. She began wondering about if her captain ever had had feelings for someone. Kaylee looked like a strong woman who would be fine without any masculine support but then again, it was how she was. She knew that she was a strong one and that she was dealing with the mechanics of the ship they were working out as well as being the first mate. She didn’t dare to question Kaylee about it though, thinking that it was too personal for her to ask such a thing. She sighed and ran a hand through her hair. It was true that Leon could feel bad about the kiss but this whole story was confusing to her. What would happen if she’d let Leon to her life? She wasn’t even sure about if she liked him. Sure, she was flustered whenever she thought about him, and she did like his company but could this really be love? She didn’t know. She never experienced it and she wasn’t one who searched for it.
“I know that he could feel bad but I really don’t know Kaylee.” She said defending herself. She knew that she didn’t want to make her feel bad but she felt the need to explain herself. She didn’t want to make a mistake; she wouldn’t forgive herself if all of this would end up being a failure. She didn’t want anyone else to get killed. Kaylee knew that she was an orphan, Leon was probably one too and she never liked being alone. Friends were fine with her but romance were a whole lot other story. She was more difficult with the matter.
Not to add that with him being a pirate and roaming around the seas, with her being in the navy, it would be quite hard for them to meet up. Even if she remembered he gave her the address of a place where it would be easy to find him. Grace kept doubting anything but she presumed that she could try to give him a chance, give it a chance and see how it would go. She didn’t know about if she’d be romantic with him but she could at least try to talk to him again to see what would happen next. She was quite insecure about love stories to be honest.
“I guess I’ll see what happens the next time I’ll see him.” She finally said with a shrug. After all, nothing could be done until the next time. She needed to consider the fact that he had freed her and taken huge risks. She couldn’t just leave him there; she needed to help him in return.
