Zoe could barely believe it, once again, Miss Mina told to her men that the item they had found was not related to Atlantis. She growled frustrated into her office, throwing her daggers at a picture of Zachariah she had gotten from her dear deity Leonnis. Making sure to hit his face quite a few times, her eyes showing more and more angers in the process, the Golem was boiling inside. This was practically impossible- they had gone through all of the oceans, searched for items that could be somewhat related to the underwater city called Atlantis, yet, they had found nothing; no clues could be served for them. If only they could find merepeople so they can tell them the way, it would be so much easier.
Her legs were resting onto her office as she tried to remain collected despite her anger, but nothing could work. She had to face it; he had to have something to do along with her failure-her rival, Zachariah, the one she was having fun throwing daggers at, at least, in pictures. He ought to be the source of her failures-he had always been and everyone knew that she was born to be a winner unlike him, who was just someone with an ugly haircut. These thoughts only made her rest her feet onto the ground, determined, she decided she would pay a little visit to his office.
She promptly walked out, grabbing her sword in the way, she never left it alone she would get extremely mad if anyone happened to ruin it in anyway, or if anyone dared to touch it. Going down the hallways Zoe met a few men who immediately froze seeing the anger that was obviously coming out of her. They gulped when she spotted one, who was staring at her in a way she didn’t like and also, whom she knew was working for her life time rival. “You, watch someone else!” She snapped tackling him to the wall, she looked at him with a death glare no one would like to receive. He gulped once again, sweating-disgusting. “You claim yourself to be strong? Pity, I could kill you anytime! Go train! Then again, I don’t blame you having an Admiral with an ugly haircut doesn’t help.” She paused before tackling him once again, making him gasp at the impact of his back against the wall. “Where is he?” She asked once again. His body trembled but he managed to say, in a stuttering voice that Zachariah was into his office. Good, they would get a one-on-one talk.
At these words, Zoe let the man fall on the ground, he gasping for air once his knees impacted against it. She quickly made her way to Zachariah’s office, crashing some furniture with her strength in the process she quickly made her way to the angel’s office, which she knew by heart. She had done the same thing quite a few times, trashing around, and it happened it was only in this hallway, where Zachariah’s office was. Finding his door close, she kicked it open, revealing herself, fuming and death glaring at the man in his office. “You, I need to talk.” She said pointing her sword at him before digging her weapon harshly into his woodened desk.

Zachariah wasn't the kind of man to hate people. He went out of his way normally, to be polite to anyone, despite how rude they were back. It was how he was raised, and now with his position as an admiral, how he was expected to act. In his entire lifetime, there were maybe five people that the blonde angel could honestly say he had ever truly hated. These people were truly awful, disgusting and evil people- people who deserved to be hated, as they had actually managed to piss off the burly angel, which if you knew him at all, would realize just how hard that was to do. Zachariah Barlowe was not an easy man to anger, but once you did, you definitely would want to get the hell outta dodge. He had what he guessed one would call an explosive temper. It was practically nonexistent now- you could do just about anything to the blonde man himself and not get much of a response out of him. Centuries of military training and experience had basically beaten out any rebellious streaks or pent up rage from his life as an early adolescent.
Point being, that nothing really got to Zach anymore. There weren't many people who could push his buttons. That was, for the exception of one person. Zoe Bones was her name- she was a golem, not that the blonde angel had a problem with that, but it was because of her heritage that she was twice as stubborn as she might have normally have been. She was also, probably one of the only people Zachariah could actually say he disliked- hated, even. She was cruel, corrupt [yeah, he knew it] and because of her equal rank, the blonde couldn't get rid of her. It was only recently, that the Navy Admiral had become aware of what his supposed coworker had been up to. He knew, and was doing his best to stop her before it reached to anyone else. There weren't too many people higher up than them, so there wasn't exactly anyone to tell about this. He couldn't tell anyone, as he had no proof whatsoever. Zoe was covering her tracks beautifully, making sure that nobody she preached to sung after she had chatted with them.
It was beginning to aggravate the blonde, as this was all becoming one large duck hunt. No results, no witnesses, no evidence. The only reason Zach still suspected anything was because of Zoe herself. He didn't know what it was about her, or about anyone, really, but Zach could tell whether someone was lying or not. It wasn't really a power, more than just a keen perceptiveness with an opinionated gut. It told him that something big was about to go down, and that Zoe was behind it. The blonde's head bolted up, hearing the sounds of cowering soldiers and people being thrown out of the way. The woman's loathsome voice rung out and a faint, bemused scowl fell upon the blonde angel's face. Speak of the devil, it was Zoe. It was a shame, that such a beautiful woman was a corruptive bitch. Otherwise, Zachariah wouldn't have been ashamed to admit that Zoe was actually, rather attractive. It was unfortunate that such an angelic body was fixated with that ugly, bitter personality that she evidently was stuck with.
Zach didn't flinch, listening to the golem's sword cut through the dark wood in his expensive desk. He didn't fret- as this wasn't the first desk the golem had destroyed; if Zachariah was correct, this was the third. This year. So the suppliers were well aware of how the replacement would be paid for- unknowingly, at the expense of Admiral Bones herself. The blonde's scowl was soon replaced with an all-too friendly smirk, his muscles relaxing a bit. It was now, time to play one of their favourite games. She'd yell at him for something or another, and he would just sit there and smile, be polite and pretend like he had no flipping idea what she was talking about. "Oh, do you now?" he asked the woman casually, leaning back in his chair, next to his own sword, which was perched against the wall behind him. He continued. "What can I help you with, Admiral?"

Zoe knew that it wasn’t the only desk she had been destroying in a month, as if she cared. Anything that Zachariah possessed could go burn, he, himself, could be burning an she wouldn’t even lift a finger up to go and help him. That was how much she hated him and she didn’t even have the time to enumerate in her head everything that made her want to stab him in the back. Anyways, at that moment, she came to hate on him and it was for a good reason; she wanted to get her hands onto the power of the Gods and he was constantly in her way, just seeing him standing in the back was enough to tick her off whenever that fortune teller Mina came to tell them if they were having a good clue for Atlantis. She didn’t believe in fortune tellers, but the woman was one of the best and if not the best. It was rather disappointing when you knew that you looked through the entire ocean and found nothing but shit.
She shot to the angel a death glare; how could he remain so calm and collected in such a crisis time? All of this was displeasing her to the most and if it wasn’t for her being in the navy, she would have killed the man who was sitting casually across her ages back. She knew that he didn’t like her; they pretty much had a mutual dislike or should she say, hate. Not that she cared much; she was way much better than him, she was a winner unlike him and she had a deity on her side unlike him. He on the other hand was just lonely dealing with his little sister and family-oh she got the information from good sources, in case she might need them- all and all, he was born to be a loser.
She took notes about killing him once she had the powers of the gods, that way, the planet would be spared of one of the greatest losers with the ugliest hair cut. She grabbed her sword firmly before placing it back into the case that was protecting it that was attached to her hips. She rested, or more like slammed his desk with her two hands, her face nearing his as if the closeness would actually help her into the upcoming argument. “Of course I do!” She began snapping. A few guards who were around the office quickly made their way out, knowing that it might, or might not be a deathly scene afterwards. It was better anyways for people to be out of Zoe’s sight when she was in a bad mood. It just happened that Zachariah was her favourite victim for the matters.
“We’ve looked through all the oceans, from side to side, we found objects, clues, things that would help us find the way to Atlantis so we can get the power of the Gods. Curiously, it is ALWAYS a failure.” she explained the situation making sure she knew he ought to be behind this. He was always bringing bad luck to her anyways. “You claim you’re in the navy, we’re going to use the power to clean off the earth from evil, and you, you’re not helping!” she said pointing at him to add more emphasis as she spoke. “We must have found something that was close to Atlantis!”

He didn't know why, but there was just something about annoying Admiral Zoe Bones that amused the blonde angel to no end. All he had to do was twist around something she screeched at some innocent crew and then play the dumb blonde game when she asked questions. He didn't tend to take her seriously, as there was absolutely no doubt in Admiral Zachariah Barlowe's mind that there was no way she would ever be able to harness the power of the gods. He wasn't as dumb as he pretended to be, and he wasn't as slow as Zoe thought he was, either. He knew. He knew what she intended to do with that power once she helped find it. It was in her nature. She was that kind of person, and the blonde man had seen it many times before. Zoe Bones was trouble and intended to take down her fellow 'adversary' whether she was fully aware of how much he knew already or not. Chances were that, she knew that he knew, which was just fine with Zach. In fact, that's what made it all the more fun for him.
The most recent voyage to look for the source of the god's powers had taken them to an old temple, which was said to have a lead to one and only Atlantis, which could only be lead there with a guide and/or map. Despite his direct affiliation with them, Zach had never actually served on a boat, and therefore didn't understand much when it came to the navigational part of the mission briefing. He in fact, was not a big fan of boats in any form. He was a ground-pounder, a decorated war man who had fought all of his wars and battles on land- thank you very much. But from what he had heard about this supposed map, it had sounded completely bogus to him. And up until a few decades ago, Zachariah hadn't even known that Atlantis had actually been real. He found the whole concept of Atlantis intriguing, though had no interest in going himself. He had gotten that rogue princess he had put Lieutenant Draper in charge of to tell him just a little bit about it. And by a little, all she said was that it was 'pretty'. Zach thanked the Gods that Bones hadn't gotten word of the Princess of Merfolk having been here only a month or so ago in search of a protector during her 'vacation' on the surface world. He had made sure to assign Draper with utmost secrecy, and even went out on a limb to ask them both to keep this matter hush-hush.
Zach's amused smirk was evident and unable to control, eventually spreading like a plague all over his face. He looked as if he were about to laugh at the outraged woman, who had been going off about all of the missions to find Atlantis or even the slightest implication to the source of the God's powers. And while he wasn't actually, entirely to blame for this, he found it amusing that hell that she would immediately think it was his fault.. Even if it was a little. The blonde Admiral gave a slight shrug of his shoulders. "Dunno what you're talking about, Admiral. But it does sound like a damn shame." he replied with a tone dripping wet with dry sarcasm. "I don't know why you would think I would have absolutely anything to do with this, as I have been busy filling out paperwork because of all the reckless things you do." He accompanied this comment with a complementary snort, before averting his eyes away from the female golem. Zach was disturbed by her comment, about wiping out evil with the power of the Gods. As a religious man, he did not believe in taking what wasn't his, especially if it was for the people that were kind enough to give him life and a chance to serve. And what were the Gods without their power? How could the Navy believe that they had the right to take something so powerful and precious? And God forbid, that the Navy actually succeeded? It would be a powerful symbol to all those who tried to defy the Navy. And if that time came, Zach vowed that he would have that power or would give it to someone else, as there was no way Bones could have that kind of power.
The blonde Admiral sighed, his attention turning back to his co-admiral. "I'm sorry, did you say something?"

Zoe hated Zachariah with such a fierce passion. Not only was he one of these dumb stuck up angels, but moreover, he was one who always happened to be between her and her search of the powers from Atlantis. It was annoying, as hell for her not to be able to reach these and she knew who the cause of her misfortunes was. It ought to be him, no doubts on it! Not to add that his hair were so much ugly, nothing appealing to this. Either way, she hated his guts more than anyone could do in this dumb world and she would make sure to turn his life into a living hell. Zoe wasn’t even ashamed to say it aloud, but she was having some plans, first would be to get him out of her way, and there was only one way which was to get him fired. She didn’t know how she would do this but she would do it; she was persistent and determined enough to have it her way, whatever her plan was and no matter how huge and long it would be so. She glared at him when he was playing the dumb blond; she didn’t know why but it was even more annoying while Zach was having the role, even more than those girly dumb blondes you could find when shopping for pretty dresses that were pretty useless. She was wearing sexy clothes anyways so they could go die with their fancy clothes, she was fine with hers. Not that it wasn’t fancy, she could afford a wedding dress every day of her life if she wanted to; she just hated these. Soon enough, she returned her attention to the angel. She hated these creatures so much, but Zachariah was on the top of her hate list for all the reasons that were told above. How could someone like him ever succeed anyways? Couldn’t he see the importance the powers of the deities were? Not to add that their said god didn’t even exist anymore so what was the points of letting the powers perish while she could use it whenever she wanted? “Don’t play dumb with me, Admiral Dawson.” She snapped at him clearly not in the mood to play this little game with the angel anymore. “You never know what could happen to you in this world and you clearly see that the pirates are taking over the seas, more and more, what if they take it before us? Don’t you think they’d want to get rid of the navy first?” She snapped at him, her glare still present into her eyes. She had to play her right cards and she wasn’t stupid either; she knew that the pirates would want to do pretty much the same thing on them so why not get them to have the power first? It would give them the feeling of having done something right in a way. “I know it’s you, I’m not stupid unlike what you might think.” She replied she was still mad but had managed to regain her composure a little; she had to keep her dignity around him. She glared even more however, punching the table once more with all of her strength making the papers that were on it vibrate slightly. “Are you deaf? You’re playing with fire, Dawson, I will make sure you know not to cross paths with me!” She growled. $$ added

"Dumb blonde? What could you ever mean, dear Admiral?" Zachariah attempted to hide the large, humourous smirk under his pokerface, though it seemed to be faltering. Zoe was loosing her patience, which was a little disappointing for the blonde admiral. Did she have any redeeming qualities? It didn't appear so, because even just the slightest thing, like a sense of humour may have made her a little more tolerable. He didn't like to admit it, but Zoe was one of the few people on earth Zachariah could honestly say he had a strong dislike for. She was rude, inconsiderate and a complete two-faced traitor. She was slowly gaining competence, so up until recently, he hadn't taken her all that seriously, which was probably one of the reasons she hated him so much. But with her recent stance against the pirates and determined quest to hunt down Atlantis, with extreme methods not to mention, he had been forced to start to pay closer attention and start to take her seriously.
Why did it take so much paperwork to accuse an admiral of treason? There had to be hard evidence, which he supposed made sense. But also testimonies from others who noticed said admiral's behaviour and then he would have to compile everything into a large enough folder and get another one of his fellow admirals to sign off on it. And since there were only three admirals in the running as of now, it would be quite difficult for this to happen. There was also the fact that despite her attitude and only recent gain in both rank and accomplishments, Bones was quite clean with her work. She was organized and left little evidence behind in her crimes. And when she did, they were essentially useless. Even though some of her crimes were rather big and highly illegal, Zach didn't even have enough evidence for her allegiance to be officially called into question. Damn the protocol, it seemed to be ruining things, rather than helping.
Zoe continued to hound at him, screaming things at him he already knew, mostly involving her cover story. How she wanted to help them by obtaining the power of the Gods. It was wrong, to take something that didn't belong to her. And if she was going to use that as her cover story, she should at least start to pretend she gave a damn about her fellow officers and civilians, which was her job anyway. Zachariah sighed and shrugged his shoulders. "You and I both know the only pirates we have to worry about are the ones who actually want to destroy us, admiral, and those numbers are surprisingly few. I believe the only people in that league anymore are the Scourges of the Sky; Jericho Romanov's crew." He leaned forward on his desk and rested his heavy head on his hand. "And last I heard, Admiral Shale took up that responsibility, so I don't believe we have to worry about it for now." As an angel, he felt he shouldn't take any sort of amusement or pride out of undermining Zoe's opinion, but by the Gods, was it hilariously amusing.
“I know it’s you, I’m not stupid unlike what you might think.” Zachariah shrugged again, deciding against making a smartass remark. She would probably try and throw him out the window if he did, or attempt it, anyway. He was fast, but he knew from first hand experience what it was like to face the pissed off golem's wrath- she had punched a crater through his office door. It had taken forever to replace, if he remembered correctly. He stared at her for a moment, that smirk he had been attempting to hide coming out into full view. "Was that a threat, Admiral Bones?" he mused. "And what exactly have I done for you to threaten me in the first place? Last time I checked, I was just doing my job." The last sentence hit home with a bit of a bemused edge. Though annoying Zoe was amusing, Zach figured that it was probably enough for one day. He had to allow that funny bone of his to rest and her temper to simmer down a little.

Zoe had to restrain herself a lot to prevent Zachariah’s office to become ashes; not that she wouldn’t do so eventually but she planned on doing this, as well as she would plan on destroying his reputation amongst the navy. She wanted the power of the gods for herself and she would have it! She wasn’t ashamed to use their objectives in order to get through hers. Talking about the pirates while she didn’t care much about them was rather easy for her to do. She loved using them in order to get what she wanted. It was easy, way too easy for her. She was also quite intelligent-and she knew it. Zachariah was going to have a hard time if he wanted to prove to the world her true intentions and they both knew it. She knew he knew, but it made everything even more challenging to say the least. Besides, he was the perfect punching bag you could have around! It was also fun to destroy his room, his picture, everything about him. She loved to cause chaos, and moreover, she loved the power. She wanted and needed it all for herself. Wasn’t it quite obvious that she could be quite a God if she had all of this? She began thinking about what she wanted to do if she had all the powers. First, she’d get rid of the low lives she could care less of. Mainly, she would get rid of Zachariah first, but then again, she had a plan to get him fired from the navy, which wasn’t going to be hard. She just needed to make him look stupid-and he always looked stupid in her eyes, she just needed to show how truly stupid he was to their heads. They weren’t a lot of admirals so it should be easy; it was also the perfect opportunity for her to show off her acting and lying skills and she was damned proud of these. Though, there was one thing that always managed to tick her off which was the fact that Zachariah always seemed to be just as or more entertained than she was with the situation. How dare he was to laugh at her face? She had to be intimidating enough to make him take his words back! She looked down at him when he talked about Jericho. Why take care of only one pirates where there still had tons and billions of criminals roaming around? She was still with the old mentality; stealing was still a crime and why would she let, even the less dangerous one, wander around? It was silly, and quite stupid to do! “Please, others are still dangerous as well, even if they don’t want our death they still are criminals.” She stated, which was the truth, was it? “Of course, Admiral Shale here, Admiral Shale there.” She began with another eye roll. “She may be competent but it’s not with only one crew that we’ll get our hands on it. We both know that he is dangerous and the damages that he had done before. He won’t get stopped by only one woman for God’s sake!” She had to restrain her from throwing the desk out of his office, along with him. Wait, him first, then the desk to make sure the impact was hard enough to kill a frigging angel. She hated the fact he smirked and didn’t take her as seriously as someone should. “Beware Dawson, you might not be able to do your job anymore if I throw that damned desk out of your office’s window.” She threatened him. $$ added

Zachariah only shrugged as Miss Bones went off an other one of her infamous rants. He had long since become accustomed to her devious, almost nagging behaviour. He learned early on to tune out most of what she said and only listen to the middle and very end of her speeches, as that was usually the only part that contained what she actually meant. The rest of the speech was insults and other derogatory remarks about him being an angel or a man. The blonde angel had never discovered why his co-admiral had initially hated him. They had arrived at about the same time and had been the same rank for most of it. He had never insulted her, and never really intended to. But since the day they met, the only thing he had ever heard from her were insults mixed in with hate speech and disrespect. And it certainly did not help their relationship after he had discovered her plans to obtain the power of the gods. And it really did not help after discovering this, that he did not take it as seriously as she would have wanted him to. One would think that he should take such a thing more seriously, but he just couldn't bring himself to. Apart of him believed that if he believed she could actually do it, that it would make it far more likely that she could.
The weird thing was about their relationship was that even though she was a total bitch to him, Zach oddly didn't hate Admiral Bones. He had always treated her with the proper respect and politely ignored all of her slanders. It just wasn't in his nature to hate people. Dislike was another thing entirely, though. It always felt odd to insult people, even her, which is why he often didn't do it. He preferred to 'banter' with her, as he had displayed for the past few minutes. However, on a more serious note, he knew that Miss Bones was a ticking time bomb. Whatever she had planned, successful or not, could and would blow back not only on himself, but the Navy as well. It was better that she take it out on him than anyone else. At least he could do something if she did something horrible. It was unfortunate that many of the lower ranking officers suffered from her wrath as well.
The blonde angel rolled his eyes, fully aware how full of shit her statement was. Zoe Bones only cared for one person only, and that was herself. She didn't give a fuck about protecting people, or even stopping pirates and other criminals. Zach stuffed his hand in his pocket, balling it into a fist. He could not allow her to see that she had actually been able to unnerve him, even a little. How could she simply brush off a fellow admiral that way? Admiral Katherine Shale had been longer than both of them and deserved the highest respect, especially since she had taken it upon herself to go after the legendary Romanov herself. Zach took in a calming breath and actually stood up. "Admiral Shale has been here this long for a reason, admiral. She deserves respect, so give it to her. Even if she is not present in the room." The angel replied coolly, his face deadpan. "You say that Romanov and others like him will not be able to be stopped by one person, correct?" A small, uncharacteristic arrogant smirk crept across the man's face. "Then how exactly do you intend to do it, Admiral Bones? Shale's far more powerful and experienced than you. What makes you so much better than her, hmm?"
Dawson leaned forward, his palms laying flat against the desk, ignoring her petty threat to defenestrate his desk. "I'd watch yourself, Bones. You and I both know that if one other person catches whiff of exactly what you intend to do, you would be history." he replied, his temper beginning to ease. He could not and would not lose control here, of all places, to her. Too many innocent people that could be potentially hurt if the massive angel lost his grip on his violent temper. It had been a long time since he had truly, and he intended to keep it that way. Especially not to this thick-headed woman. She would be found out eventually, he knew. Zach wasn't particularly worried about losing his job to her, either. What exactly could she do? It was evident that the admirals could pretty much get away with anything, as Bones was still around, even after she had essentially murdered several lower ranking officers and definitely was corrupt and abused her power. It was only a matter of time, he was sure. "I would very much appreciated it if you left, Admiral Bones." he sighed quietly as his facial features relaxed and he moved away from the corrupted woman. He eased back into his chair. "I have much to do, as you can see. Go bother someone else, please." he added, turning his chair and his attention away from her.

The fact that Zachariah always seemed cold and never affected by her insults what was kept her thrilled about tormenting the man. How could someone actually never be offended by any of her words? She had tried everything and yet, there he was, acting as cool as he normally would be. It was absurd, there ought to be something that would actually piss the man off. Why was she concerned about this? She didn’t know, perhaps she would get a satisfaction to know that she could actually find a sensitive subject of his, something that would make him go crazy. She was still confident enough that even if this would ever happen, she’d still be alive. She was wise, and it was the precise reason of why he had still not been able to get his hands on her when it came to the subject of the power of the Gods. Surely, she would have it and surely she’d kick him out of the Navy soon enough when she’d have it. Scratch that, even if she wasn’t to have the power of the Gods, she would kick him out of there. She didn’t know why she hated him...maybe it was his hair, or just the fact that he was a fucking goodie two shoes. Righteous people always annoyed her for some reasons.
She took the notice he seemed to be affected by her words on Admiral Shale. They both were golems, she should have respect for the woman but knowing that they weren’t on the same side, she particularly hated this one, just like this blonde angel who was having the ‘I-don’t-give’-a-fuck’ attitude. Well, good news for him, he’d give a fuck and she would find the words that would actually make him give a fuck. Perhaps she could have someone cut his ugly hair while he’d be sleeping. This shall be entertaining to watch...
She snorted as he spoke of respect. Respect? It was gone for quite a long time, even amongst the navy. Only Zachariah and a few remaining kids actually had respect for people and things. Did he not see that the world was already corrupted? Damn Angels.
“She will have my respect the day she will capture Romanov.” She said slightly amused by the situation. She knew for how long it had been since the woman was chasing him and yet, nothing came out of it. How would she actually pay respect to someone who was constantly failing? She’d like to know. “We need new tactics and competent spies to capture pirates like him but of course, with what we get here at the moment, we can’t really even hope to have the glimpse of one of these criminals.” She commented rolling her eyes. Even Zachariah was part of these incompetent people.
She smirked however when he threatened her about her plans. Really now?
