THE FUTURE IS DARK
Welcome to Nikawa, a massive, bustling metropolis located on the East coast of Japan. Bordered by the sea and split by two rivers, Nikawa is a lively, yet ordinary city. Or at least it was. Lately the whole city seems to be holding its breath as a several people have been falling into comas. Day by day their bodies seem to be decaying far quicker than they should. After three days the people either wake up screaming of crazy things, or they simply die. Only a single clue links all the cases together; a text message found on each victim’s cell phone stating ‘The Future Is Dark’.
To make matters worse its starting to not just be after the message is received. At night innocent people are going to sleep in their beds and waking up within this dream world. According to the rumors violent shadows chase you through your dreams as whispers of a creature known as "The Dreamer" fill your thoughts.
Police are trying to keep things quiet, but the city is writhing in an overabundance of rumors. Is it really so perilous to read a single text message? Could there really be a dark, ruined version of Nikawa that only appears in dreams? And what about the rumblings that there are certain teenagers who can summon monsters at will? Although most try to laugh off these rumors, deep down a current of fear is running through the city as it is difficult to deny that something is going on.
