Michelle had reluctantly decided she needed to get out of her library quarters for some fresh air in the market place. She preferred the inside, really, where she could make sure her library stayed organized and up-to-date with the current check-outs and ins. However, she had no client meet-ups tonight, so she wanted to treat herself.
"Cake..", she mumbled to herself. "Is that what I want, or...?" She'd always had trouble deciding. Or did she want something that wasn't sweet? Actual food, maybe? She came to the conclusion that she did in fact want cake, and paid the merchant for one that looked rather appetizing.
"I need actual food to go with this, now... Hm, that's a good-looking fish." She spotted a nice one across the pathway, but her thoughts were interrupted by a loud bellow of a voice, and not the normal yelling she heard from the merchants. "Damn..", she lowly exclaimed at the sight of a clear soon-to-be robbery. She wanted no part of it, but her path to an exit was blocked by one of the bandits, who made his way toward her in a threatening fashion.
She was tempted to fly away, but this particular section of the market was covered by a makeshift roof. "I could, if I could get to a clear isle. I should've stayed in the library," she grumbled. Panicked, she began to dart her eyes around the isles, trying to plan a way to escape the situation without being grabbed, or captured.

Admiral Zachariah Dawson didn't get many days off; but when he did, he liked to spend them outside. Away from his desk, away from fellow officers. Away from all the political bullshit, which he did not care for in the slightest. And after his last day off ended with him having another job and a naive, blonde goddess to help defend, he figured he would lay off the risky towns for now. Even if it hadn't been intentional in the first place, he decided it was best to stick to any place where there wouldn't be any trouble.
..Or so he had thought.
Only moments after stepping into a quaint little market place, Zach found to his surprise that the place was being robbed. A large frown spread across the blonde angel's face as he reached for his back, to find that his sword was not there. Why had he left it at home, of all days? He sighed. Sword or not, it was his job as an officer of the Navy to stop these people. Being completely unarmed however, was something he was not comfortable with. All he had were his combat skills and his wings- as he completely refused to use his super strength. Not here, not like this. There were far too many innocent civilians around who were already plenty scared enough. The last thing they needed was for a six foot six blonde angel hurling shelves and running around like a madman.
While he probably could handle the robbers well enough, his first thought was to get as many people out as possible. He soon found that there was a back door which the robbers hadn't blocked or had guarded. He began to usher people out, using his position as a way to convince people to listen to him. The blonde didn't enjoy it much, as seemed like something his corrupt co-Admiral Bones would do, except with more of a self-serving, sinister motivation. He grabbed a young woman by the shoulder, one who looked rather young, with a reddish-brown bob cut. "C'mon, missus. S'get you out of here." he said, almost as if he were a prerecorded message. Evidently, the robbers must have gotten whiff of what was going on, as two of the thugs slammed the door, their guns and swords raised to Zach and the young woman. "C'mon, put yer hands where I can see 'em and give us all your shit!" he bellowed, his sword barely touched Zach's broad chest. "Don't make a move, blondie, I'm warning you."

Michelle angled her head back to look at the person speaking to her. What she saw was an extremely tall- compared to her small size- blonde angel, whose stature gave away that he was probably in the military. "Oh, t-thank you, sir." She was trying not to have the terrified damsel in distress look about her, but she really felt that way. She was thankful this guy had shown up.
She almost lost her grasp on her newly-bought cake, and held it closely so as not to drop it. Michelle jumped in surprise when two of the thugs blocked their path toward the door, guns raised, and she shrunk back in a panic. She partially raised her hands, and made it obvious that the only thing she had was a cake. (Although she had doubloons hidden in a pocket in her trousers.)
Quietly rambling to herself, she tried to work out how to get around the hooligans, and find a way out, or convince the bandits to leave. "Sir, you don't have anything to defend us with, do you?" she quickly whispered towards him. OOC: D'you think her power of persuasion could work in this situation, as well?

The blonde man sighed, turning out his pockets and putting his hands in the air, where the robbers could see them. He had nothing- the only thing he had was his wallet, and like hell he was going to give them that. "I don't have anything, sir. I don't want any trouble." he replied solemnly, his hands sliding back into his hoodie pockets. "Now would you please move your sword? I'm starting to bleed." the robber snickered and proceeded to cut a long slash across the angel's chest. "You think you're better than me, asshole?" he spat on his shoes looked at the girl, who had whispered something to Zach.
"Sir, you don't have anything to defend us with, do you?" Zach frowned slightly and shook his head. He had left his sword in his bedroom at home, leaning up against his bed. The robber pointed his sword at the younger woman, asking who she was and what she thought she was doing. Planning an escape was futile, as they had the place surrounded. Zach actually rolled his eyes a little, as this guy had now graduated from the levels of stupidity to absolutely moronic. He really didn't intend to hurt the woman, did he? Did he not think that the massive, blonde guy with big white wings wouldn't step in?
"Leave her alone, son." he warned him, his fingers pulling themselves into an agitated ball. "She hasn't done anything." The robber scowled. "Who the fuck do you think you are, talking to me like that? You're gonna pay for that!" he snapped, ordering his boys to grab and attack the blonde angel. Two of them came up from behind and jerked him backwards, while a third pressed a gun to his temple. Two of the men shoved him into a nearby wall and the third stood in front of him, the gun now moved to between his eyes [the thug was standing on his tippy toes]. They cursed some profanities at him, as if it was supposed to make him cry and subdue him. Zach sighed, his eyes following to where the girl and the robber were. He couldn't see much, but he hoped she could take care of herself for a minute or so.
Zach glanced at his left, and then his right. The thugs had pinned his arms pretty well, but had forgotten his legs almost entirely. The admiral snorted, kicking the guy in front of him hard in the stomach. He cringed and held his stomach as the blonde kicked him over. He then turned his head back to the guy on the right, headbutting him as hard as he could [for a power he didn't like all that much, super strength sure did come in handy]. The next guy was child's play, as all Zach had to do was throw him like a lawn dart. He threw him across the checkout line and into some of the last store shelves. As he fell down and attempted to get up poorly, the shelf fell on top of him with a large 'smutch' sound. The man, now trapped under the shelf cried once in agony, before reducing it to a quite, but painful moan.
The blonde's attention soon turned to the robber and the younger woman. "Are you alright, missus?"

When the man shook his head, Michelle lost some sense of hope. She watched as the robber ordered his men to attack him, but kept an eye on the remaining in front of her. She had one trick up her sleeve- but she hated to have to use it. She hated getting inside of a person's head. She'd only previously used it on her clients if things got rough, but she supposed this was a valid reason as well.
She tried focusing her gaze into the eyes of her assailant, but they were nervously flickering from other men to herself. What confidence, she thought with sarcasm. For the thug he was trying to be, he appeared to really want help holding off someone like her. However, Michelle was eventually able to hold his gaze long enough for it to actually work.
"You have no need for me here, let me go, now." She tried to speak with a voice of authority she barely had, and it was hard not to blink. The man blinked at her in reply, and stepped away. She hurried to grab her things, (cake included) and made a run over her now unblocked path. She quickly looked over her shoulders, but the rest hadn't yet noticed her escape. She was quickly on the edge of the pathway. Unfurling her wings, Michelle made effort to fly slowly atop the covered roof of the market place. Landing safely, she leaned upside-down over the side and gazed at her military companion.
