One hundred years ago the four gods crafted Abella. They carved out the hills and valleys, they filled the land with clear waters, they decorated the sky with blue, and encased the land of Abella in the sugar sea. Once the four gods had established the realm that would be Abella, they began to fill her with all manner of life.
The sixteen divine were then molded from the elements to care for the new existence and the mortals were created to work the land. Abella was to be a new existence for a new species, yet the Illuvian remained. They were remnants of the previous existence, carried over to Abella by the lingering powers of their dead god. This new world was peaceful for a time and the mortals were blessed by the attentive divine, so long as they continued to pay homage to the four gods.
For one hundred years Abella remained an existence of relative peace and now that peace has begun to shatter. The divine have become unsatisfied with their masters and some have started to rebel against them, the four mortal kingdoms are at the brink of total war for land and limited resources, and the Illuvian are on the verge of exacting their revenge against the four gods that had forsaken them.
The golden age of Abella is coming to an end. Will the four gods succumb to the demands of their divine creations, will they prevent the mortals from destroying Abellla through war, will the gods fall victim to the vengeful Illuvian, or will the gods simply abandon this existence for another? Is Abella beyond saving? Can no one mend her broken spirit?
